a photo an hour

It was just a normal day. The kind of day that could fit any mood really. It wasn't a sunny, cheerful day, nor a sad, gloomy day. Just normal and mundane. Sometimes you need those days (though I would have preferred the sun to be happy shining through my bedroom window) to relax and get much needed things done. My day in photos:

  • 8 AM: breakfast time. I have never been someone who has to start their day out with some sort of breakfast. I can literally go until noon without food. But I have been making more of an effort to eat breakfast so my stomach doesn't make dying whale sounds until lunch. ;)
  • 9 AM: (taken with an iPhone--which explains the quality) Running time. Not my most favorite time ever. But worth it. We go to the same park when we run in the mornings. Every time we go we see the same four old men walking their adorable little dogs and a tail-less squirrel.
  • 10 AM: After our run I got home and collapsed on the couch. Oh, and I lit a candle in our hallway because happy scents make for a happy kelsie. Candles are the best. I have a beach scented candle in my room and a vanilla scented candle in the hallway. Good, happy, smelly vibes all around.;)
  • 11 AM: I spent some of this hour in the Word and praying. Also,a small glimpse there of some new notebooks I got that I'm like in love with. If it's possible to be in love with notebooks...
  • 12 PM: I had lunch during this hour. Except my food wasn't pretty enough to take a picture of (who knew plain rice isn't very photogenic;).
  • 1 PM: My mother issued for a mandatory room cleaning time.;) So, I cleaned out my closet, drawers, and rearranged. Exciting, huh?
  • 2 PM: Violin practice.
  • 3 PM:  Reading time. Sometimes when I read I like to eat. Ya know, reading + eating...how could you go wrong? My dog wouldn't leave me alone to read in peace though (maybe it had something to do with the food, who knows?;) so I decided to snap some pictures of her. I'm convinced that she knows what I'm doing when I take pictures of her, I mean just look at that smile! ;) She's such a weird dog.
  • 4 PM: I did other small things and watched as my mom made some fabulous meal as she always does (I do help too;)
  • 5 PM: I discovered a pretty flowery bush in our own yard. I was pretty happy, just sayin'.
  • 6 PM: Just chillin' out watching some good 'ol netflix.
  • 7 PM: I attempted to make indoor s'mores without any chocolate bars. It turned out very interesting...and sticky. Note to self: don't put marshmallows in the microwave.
  • 8 PM:  pajama time. thank ya muchly.
  • 9 PM: The last hour I did a photo (this hour was basically just pre-nighttime routine stuff;).

I had quite fun doing this photo an hour project. I had been wanting to do it for a good while now but finally got around to it. It's a really neat + fun way to practice photography and find some new creative ideas. It also proved to be a slight challenge to me though. Feeling like I needed to get the perfect picture every hour. I may just have to do it again... but maybe next time journal what I did throughout the day so I can remember a little better.;)

so, there was my day in photos. hope you enjoyed seeing all about my exciting life! ;) (insert sarcasm;)

downtown with mah girls

I met these lovely ladies ohhh, about over a year ago. I remember we all just clicked instantly and became awesome friends. One of those friendships where you didn't need to have known each other for ten plus years because you all became great friends, instantly. A couple weeks back I got a facebook message from one of them asking if I wanted to go the Beach Festival with them. uh, course I do. So we headed to one of the small downtown's that surround our big city. We walked around the beach festival (which was mainly full of people trying to sell stuff, food vendors, and music) and after decided to go gallivant (my new word, shh) around the rest of the town. It was a splendid time with such awesome girls. We had ourselves a bit of a photoshoot until it rained and we sat under a gazebo for awhile and then had to run into the wonderful world of books (aka the library).

the stairs of emotion. ;)

I should also mention they are rockin' awesome cheerleaders who like to use some of their cheer moves on me.

I'm no cheerleader let's just say that.:)

(slightly out of focus but you get the picture;)

I did eventually make it up. for like 5 seconds. haha.

anywho, when a group of girls get together you're going to HAVE at least get a jumping picture or two, right?

this picture was taken right before I plummeted to the ground while poor, innocent bystanders witnessed it all. it was rather humorous I assure you.

it was an awesome day with some awesome girls.

by the way--I promise I haven't fallen of the face of the earth. life has been busy, but I have been instagramming + tweeting for those of you who follow me so you know I'm still alive!;) I promise back to regular blogging though!

one, two, three, four, five

one: a little sneak peak of some of my sista's senior pictures! Her senior pictures have really been just small photo shoots all put together. We are hoping to hit the coast sometime soon to get the rest done! crosses fingers for nice beach weather.

two: So I have absolutely no idea what is going on with google friend connect leaving us in July. So, if you are the kinda person who likes to be on the safe side and you don't wanna miss my future posts, be a gem and Follow my blog with Bloglovin

three: I have been really into baking lately. I recently made these scones from this blog (cough cough I may or may not be making more later). SO good. What are some of your favorite dessert recipes? please leave me a link in the comment section!(especially if it involves chocolate)

four: "were you born in Italy?" -a question asked by one the kids I babysit (to whom I have never mentioned a word about being Italian). No, I was not. And no, I'm not fully Italian. We just happen to have a lot of Italian in my family. And Italian genes are pretty strong, my friends. This made me laugh about Italians. I cannot talk without my hands (no joke), we like our coffee, we have our own spaghetti sauce recipe, we're loud (you should see us in stores), I make lots of facial expressions when I talk, and ya know--the (not so tiny) noses. Oh, and we're short.

five: Would someone please kindly explain to me how we are almost five months into the year already? It's almost like summer outside now. It make me happy. (except for when I got attacked by ants getting the mail this afternoon. my feet look rather sad and eaten up now. evil ants.)

hope you are all surviving exams 'n such. remember to enjoy spring while it's here! off to have some coffee and talk too much with my hands!
