mountain hiking

God is such an awesome Creator!

I was the only one who posed of course:)

I was cringing watching him down there the whole time! I could not have done that!

(I look a lot taller than everyone here but i'm actually shorter, I was just standing on the hill up higher:)

sure this is all beautiful...but it wasn't easy to get up there.
the hike...

it starts out pretty easy and leisurely...

 no, pictures?:)

my dad with his Gandalf stick:)

it started to get a little harder, in which we needed to have water breaks.

boys...

I like to take pictures of people when they are least expecting it.

after the breaks we just keep on walking...

and sometimes we trip...(sorry Mikayla:)

...or attack people with large sticks;)

 but we keep hiking.

and we liked the cute little guy with his hiking stick:)

we didn't get any pictures of us having to climb over the rocks and the steep parts going up, mainly because we were all so tired and just focused on getting up to the top I didn't take any pictures. but I promise! It was sure a hard hike up, I mean it was even labeled as strenuous. And my aching body today keeps reminding me:)

but it was all worth it when we got to the top.

once we spent a good amount of time taking in the beauty and resting (while eating some good ole' Twizzlers and drinking some water:) we were reminded what comes up most come down.

so it was time to hike back down (which is never as bad, it was actually a lot of fun running down:)

and there's always some funny pictures along the way of course.

my dad and sister sitting on the stick that looked like it should be a chair sold in Ikea:)
(and don't mind my sister's boyfriend's shorts, it was a joke:)

but then....

we f.i.n.a.l.l.y made it!

and then I took a picture with him and the cool car.

so in all, it was a ton of fun! after you get over feeling like you're going to pass out, it's an awesome experience! everyone should go mountain hiking! I'm so glad we got to go and do this!

and then we ended the day with McAlister's Deli...perfect.

(this was not the hike in SC this was in NC, we took a different hike that was not as strenuous in SC:)

  1. What do his shorts even say on them? I'm digging them big time.
My family loves to hike. You girls are so cute. I love your bermuda shorts. Oh and McAlister's Deli rocks. I haven't been in two weeks (we normally go at least once a week) and I think I'm having withdrawls.
